It is conceivable that they don't even drop the next iPhone at all this year after looking at their sales numbers the last quarter for the iPhone 4! I think we will have the dual core CPU just like you said and more than likely the multiple chipsets for carriers, but, beyond that who knows. They are getting close to releasing it and they won't release it until the iPhone 5 comes out. I think mid to end of September is right on schedule for them.
