My Rating System
I put together the following chart as a guide to help you understand the rating that I give to each of the apps I review. This should give you some idea of the things I look for in an app when deciding what rating to give it. Anything 3 stars or above is an app I like. But there are big differences between a 3 star app and a 5 star app. Below 3 stars are apps I don’t like for one reason or another.
The best of the best. The app functions with minimal problems or any problems found are quickly fixed. The developer(s) are easy to contact or tech support is provided. Issues are responded to quickly and they show a concern for what their users think. The app has not only a nice look, but also a well functioning purpose. It must actually be an app that provides some value other than making farting noises. You will LOVE this app!!
A well functioning app that may have some problems but that has promise. If there are issues, but gives me a sense either through the description or a website, or through contact with the developer(s)/tech support indicating that they are aware of problems and willing to fix them. This app may not have the perfect look and feel but should have a good set of features that bring value to the app over others in its class. This app meets my seal of approval!
I like this app, it brings me value, but there are several things I would change about it. Either the developer(s) don’t care or I cant seem to find anyone willing to listen to me. In order for me to maximize my use of this app I would like to see certain things added or fixed but I cant seem to get my opinion heard. Despite that, overall it is still a decent app. You will likely be happy buying this app!
I didn’t like this app and definitely prefer another in its class. The app has some problems that actively stop me from being able to use it as designed, or the app really has no functioning value at all. I have tried to contact the organization but got no help or given the current state I see no point in pursuing further conversation with the developer. Buy at your own risk, without my recommendation!
Horrible app, I regret getting it and want to make sure everyone knows STAY AWAY. The app lacks all promise and ability to ever deliver on what it should do or the app has no chance of ever providing any value. The developer(s) put no effort into the app and clearly should be in another business. DO NOT BUY!!
